A tentative agreement for full-time support staff at all Ontario colleges has been reached between the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) and the College Employer Council (CEC).

The agreement is set to go to a ratification vote on November 4. In the meantime, picketing is set to end immediately, and staff are set to return to work Thursday, October 16.

The College Employer Council bargains on behalf of all 24 of Ontario’s public colleges.

What does this mean for the Sheridan community?

• Classes and activities continue as scheduled.
• Full-time support staff employees will return to work on Thursday, October 16.
• All regular operations will resume on Thursday, October 16.

Our teams are working to return to full operational capacity as quickly as possible; however, this process will take time.

During this transition process, we will focus on student services to ensure backlogs are being cleared. Teams are working quickly to address outstanding requests, re-book appointments, and bring operations back to full service levels.
